Warnadoone D and Warnadoone B shared points, two at a time for the first two rounds.

SAPPHIRE Coast Pool League results for Wednesday, 10 September: After Kingsburgh Sports and Nautical Mile had shared points in the first two rounds, the third round took Kingsburgh Sports two points ahead.

Kingsburgh Sports kept up the pace taking the next three singles games; the last singles game in the fourth round sealed Nautical Mile’s fate. Kingsburgh Sports’ Donovan Bowen, Theo Stokes, Laryn Wicks and Nautical Mile’s Eric Gardner each took three of their four games. A split in the doubles points gave Kingsburgh Sports a fine 11-7 victory and they will definitely be looking for a hat-trick in the coming Wednesday night’s match.

Reef D consented to an even first round against Moulin Rouge A, and only one point in each of the ensuing three rounds. Reef D’s Clint Mooiman, Predesh Debipersadh and Wayne Mackay each took three of their four games. Moulin Rouge A took the first doubles point but Reef D’s skill managed the last point of the evening, walking away with an impressive 13-5 victory.

Another even first round panned out for Sapphire Cove B against Warnadoone C. Warnadoone C upped the pace taking the next two rounds. With Warnadoone C needing one more point to take the singles, Sapphire Cove B fought back valiantly leaving a tie for the singles matches.

Sapphire Cove B’s Marius Calitz, Robbie Willemse and Warnadoone C‘s Warren Smith each took three of their four games. With the first doubles game in the bag, the last match’s black ball also fell in favour of Warnadoone C, ensuring the glory of a close 10-8 victory.

Their first point against Ollies B was the only point scored by Warnadoone A for the next three rounds. An even fourth round was no solace for Warnadoone A. Ollies B’s Levin Poonan took a splendid full-house, while team mates Ashlin Pillay, Dillon Chetty and Adrian Ramalingam each took three of their four games.

Warnadoone A took the last doubles game, but Ollies B scored a commanding 14-4 victory.

With an even first round for Reef B against Sapphire Cove A, Reef B took a clear four points in the second. Three of the third round’s points were taken by Sapphire Cove A. Striking back, Reef B clinched the match as the last singles match finished. Reef D’s Prasheen Chundermum took a fabulous full house while team mate Trevor Cambell took three of this four games. A split in the doubles games left Reef B with a well earned 11-7 victory.

Warnadoone D and Warnadoone B shared points, two at a time for the first two rounds. Although Warnadoone D won the third round, the fourth went to Warnadoone B and teams were tied. The doubles games were snatched by one team, and Warnadoone B walked away with the vanquishing 10-8 victory.

Silver Dollar C and Ollies C had an even first round and third round. Ollies C took the second round and left Silver Dollar C trailing by two points for the next two rounds. Catching up in the fourth round left a win for either team. Silver Dollar C’s Rudi Hunt scored a fine full house and Ollies C’s Njabulo Qiya took three of his four games. It was over for Ollies C as the last match fell in favour of Silver Dollar C and they scored a firm 10-8 victory.
