Winkle BC abuzz as green re-opens
The re-opening of the green was well supported with social bowls on Friday, 28 November.
ON Thursday, 27 November, the Winklespruit Bowling Club monthly men’s nominated 2- 4-2 was played at Amanzimtoti Bowling Club.
The overall winners were Labus and Dave.
Gerald Chalder-Royle and Denny Denyssen won second overall and the second session winners were Harry van Vuuren and Brad Cox.
The re-opening of the green was well supported with social bowls on Friday, 28 November. On Saturday, 29 November, Winklespruit Bowling Club held a very successful bowling clinic attended by 21 members. All attendees benefitted from this coaching clinic and a follow-up session will be arranged for early next year.
Due to rain, the monthly mixed nominated trips scheduled for Sunday, 30 November, had to be cancelled. It is now re-scheduled for Sunday, 7 December at 9am. The monthly attendance draw was won by Innocence Ndlovu and the petrol draw sponsored by Warner Beach garage, was won by John Powel. Charlotte Kohl walked away with the monthly meat draw.
