Empty car boots at WInkle BC attest to successful sale

Birthday wishes goes to all members who celebrate their birthdays during the week.

BELATED congratulations to the Winklespruit Bowling Club trio of Andre Gelderblom, Jonty Deneysen and Norma Raath for winning the nominated trips on Sunday, 22 February.

The monthly men’s nominated 2-4-2 played on Thursday, 26 February was well supported.

A Toti team consisting of Coy Shraewen and Duncan Wright were the overall winners. Brian Cox and Harry van Vuuren won the second session. The 100 board draw was won by Colon Coetzee. Friday social bowls are becoming very popular, thanks to Mooi Hawens preparing their delicious dinner which is served after the bowls. Social members and non-bowlers are invited to enjoy this dinner by placing your name on the dinner list at the bowling club.

The attendance draw on Friday, 27 February was won by Bessie Vergottini. The wheel of fortune’s cash prize was unclaimed and therefore carried over. Early morning rain on Saturday, 28 February did not affect the car boot sale. Once again sales expectations were exceeded and most cars left with empty boots. All the boerewors rolls and pancakes were sold and the beer garden was enjoyed by all.
