Winkle nippers attain solid seventh at KZN champs

The next competition takes place this weekend in Durban when KZN senior champs will be held.

KZN nipper championships was held in Durban this past weekend, with Winklespruit Surf Lifesaving Club nippers coming seventh overall.

Well done to the team for trying so hard.

The club is proud of your efforts, so keep on training. Many thanks to Kelly, Brittany and Kaylin, the three safety officers, parents and club members for supporting the children.

Star of the show for Winkespruit in the individual events was once again Lanesca Esterhuizen who won the U10 girls flags event and came second in the beach sprint and long run events. Dylan Barber won the U9 boys long run event. The Winklespruit team of the competition was the U9/U10 team who came sixth in their age group.

The next competition takes place this weekend in Durban when KZN senior champs will be held. Good luck to all members competing.

On the social side the refreshment centre will be open on Friday night so pop in for a cold one. See you on the beach.
