Two podium spots for Mamba MTB riders in Karkloof Classic

THE Toti Mambas Mountain Biking section of Amanzimtoti Cycling Club hit the Karkloof Classic race on Sunday morning with a vengeance.
One particular rider hit the trail a little bit harder than expected when she played chicken with a rock and did a few cartwheels with her bike. But the Mamba chicks are made out of hard stuff and she wasn’t too badly hurt. The rest of the riders achieved fantastic times, with Cindy Theunissen coming in second vets woman in the 60km race and Carl Freyer coming third among the grand masters in the 40km race. Two club members receiving podiums in a big race like that is not bad going.
