Third hole-in-one in as many weeks atToti GC

SPRING has arrived which means that Spring treatment of Amanzimtoti Golf Course will commence later this month in preparation for summer.

On Wednesday 36 players participated in the midweek individual stableford points competition with M Bingham winning on 40 points, counting out M Van Wyngaard into second.

M Slabbert was third on 39 points counting out E Botha into fourth.

Twenty seven players took part in Friday’s nine hole sundowner competition with B Buckland winning on 24 points and S van der Merwe coming second on 21 points. C Coetzee won the count out on 18 points to take third. For the third week in a row the perfect shot was played at Amanzimtoti with B Buckland achieving a hole-in-one on the 4th hole in the sundowner competition.

The men played fourball betterball on Saturday with the pairing of M van Wyngaard and D Richardson winning on 47 points and the pairing of N Brits and P Avelini coming second on 46 points, counting out the pairing of N Vogel and C Scorer into third. B Williams was nearest the pin on the fourth and B Whiting on the 15th.

The women played Ryder Cup on Saturday. The Cormorant team of Liz Donald, Sue Boucher, Estelle Binnekade and Lynette Roodt came in first with a score of 115 points closely followed by the Plover team of Jackie Dunlop, Atri Wilson, Ina De Boer and swivel Lynette Roodt on 111 points. Nearest the pin on the 15th was Ina De Boer.
