Winkle BC teams play at Sezela on Sunday

THE women’s Winklespruit Bowling Club trips will be played on Thursday, 4 May.

The second session of the Port Natal men’s league was played on Saturday afternoon against Berea’s A team. It was a tough game with the one Winkle team having a good win and the other lost by one point.
The monthly boot sale takes place on Saturday, 6 May in the Winklespruit Bowling Club car park.
Reg Behr won the attendance draw on Friday evening. The Wheel of Fortune was won by Sandy Snyman. Everyone present enjoyed the Friday evening meal. Thank you to Trish Farmer for preparing the main meal, Annalie Pienaar for preparing the salads and Wilma Richter and Sandy Snyman for the pudding. A special thank you to the club bar lady, Norma Raath, who is always willing to go the extra mile. There will be a meal again this Friday evening so notify Trish Farmer on 082-483-5875, before Friday if you will be attending, for catering reasons.
Social bowls will be played on Wednesday and Friday afternoons, at 2pm for 2.30pm which is the winter starting time.
The third session of the Port Natal men’s league will be played on Saturday afternoon. Both divisions will be playing a home game against the fifth division Parkhill C team and the eighth division Chatsworth B team. Go along and support your teams at this game on Saturday afternoon. It starts at 1pm.
Winkle BC teams will compete against teams from Umkomaas and Sezela at Sezela Bowling Club on Sunday. Confirm your teams and starting time with Alan Raubenheimer.
Joyce Mackrory and Brian Farmer are celebrating their birthdays in the week ahead. The club wishes them a happy birthday and a blessed year ahead.
Prayers and thoughts are with Barry Hilton who is recovering after an operation and for Steve Evenwel who is not well. The club wishes them a speedy recovery.
