Cricket union adds U19 league for new season
All seniors are to report for pre-season training from Tuesday, 18 July and Thursday, 20 July at 5pm at the nets.

IT seems like yesterday that the last round of cricket fixtures were played at Amanzimtoti Cricket Club and already the new season is upon us.
All seniors are to report for pre-season training from Tuesday, 18 July and Thursday, 20 July at 5pm at the nets.
Seniors will need to take their kit and running shoes as the sessions will consist of fitness, batting and bowling skills. There will be a number of warm-up games taking place in August.
Due to the big gap between the current under 15 league players and senior players, the cricket union will be introducing an U19 league for the first time this season. This league will be played on Sundays, with the fixtures split between some morning games and afternoon games. Any cricketer between the ages of 15 and 19-years-old wishing to play in this league should come to pre-season training or call Rex Hindman on 072-501-8363 or Dean Carson on 083-555-2070 for more information.
On Sunday, 13 August all juniors will be required to register for the new season at the nets between 9am and noon.
A morning of cricket activities is planned for the juniors while registrations take place. Junior pre-season training will start on Monday, 21 August at 5pm.
ACC has made steady progress over the last few years. The new committee has worked hard during the off season to ensure the club continues along this path. The team has put in place a lot of new measures for the coming season. Exciting times are upon us and the Amanzimtoti Cricket Club family needs to experience them together.
