Sponsor re-signs Illovo Beach surfer

Boarding South Africa will assist the surfer to take his performance in the surf to greater heights.

MAKING great strides in his surfing, Illovo Beach’s Brody Rudling (17) has again caught the eye of Boarding South Africa, which has extended his sponsorship for 2018.

This sponsorship will assist the surfer to take his performance in the surf to greater heights.

“Boarding South Africa is a small brand and only has 14 members so far, sponsoring a few skateboarders and surfers,” explained Brody. Being sponsored by this brand, Brody will be assisted by being given clothing, surfing products and stickers.

Brody is currently preparing for a new year of competitive surfing. He will participate in the first round of Ethekwini Surfriders Association’s trials on Sunday, 18 March. Trial dates thereafter are on 6 May, 22 July and 19 August. Those interested can get more information by following Ethekwini Surfriders Association on Facebook or visit www.ethekwinisurfing.co.za.

Each surfer’s top three trial results will determine if they qualify to represent the Ethekwini Surfriders Association in the South African championships, which take place in October. Brody did his home town proud at last year’s KZN Champs, where he came second in his age group, and at South African Champs, where he made it to round three. He is wished well for the year ahead.
