Protea batsmen join Toti Cricket Club squad
The club says its first team will benefit from playing with these professional cricketers.
TWO Dolphin and Protea batsmen joined Amanzimtoti Cricket Club’s (ACC) 1st XI team during their two home games on October 2.
Amanzimtoti Cricket Club recently had the pleasure of welcoming the two Dolphin and Protea batsmen, Sarel Erwee and Keegan Peterson, into their squad for the 2022/2023 cricket season.
Sunday saw both players play at the Toti Oval in the second round of the Castle T20 Premier competition.
“A welcome initiative of the KwaZulu-Natal Cricket Union sees Dolphin players allocated to clubs to help strengthen club teams and grow the game.
This is unique to have two Protea players play club cricket, and to have them at Amanzimtoti is a rare bonus. The current first team squad has a good mix of experienced and young up-and-coming players who will all benefit from the experience of players with these professionals,” said the club’s chairperson, Matthew Hamer.
