The non-profit organisation’s founder, Dale van Blerk, said the charity walk aimed to raise funds to build classrooms in deserving schools to create a conducive learning environment. The fun-filled day will feature a 5km supervised walk, water and cool drinks at water stations along the route, medical assistance and a lucky draw entry for exciting prizes.

The event will take place at the Amanzimtoti Community Hall, kicking off at 08:00 and ending at 14:00 and the entry fee is R190 per person.

“This fun-filled day is designed to raise funds and awareness for WTTF’s ambitious goal of building and equipping 1 000 classrooms over the next decade, an initiative that requires a staggering R680 million. The foundation’s mission is to transform education for underprivileged schools, ensuring every child has access to a safe, well-equipped learning environment,” said Van Blerk.

All participants will receive goodie bags and branded caps as part of their entry. The event will also feature exciting lucky draw prizes for schools valued at R72 000, along with prizes for families, groups, and individuals who showcase the best spirit of the day or display the most inspiring banner message.

After the walk attendees are invited to enjoy a relaxing picnic, with food and refreshments on sale. The event will be fully supported by security and medical services, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all.

WTTF welcomes everyone looking to make a difference by supporting this meaningful cause. Entries open on December 5, at www.wttf.org.za. Corporations are encouraged to join as sponsors or participants to maximise the impact of this initiative.
