Wanted driver arrested and car recovered in Amanzimtoti

The swift action of various law enforcement agencies led to the arrest of a wanted criminal and the recovery of a stolen vehicle.

A stolen CAR was recovered and its driver was arrested in Amanzimtoti in a joint operation on December 2.

ET Rapid Response’s Tony Lokker said his control centre received information regarding the vehicle, which was circulated via the CCPO channel.

“Officers from ET Rapid Response, CCPO, Road Traffic Inspectorate Winklespruit and Amanzimtoti police’s Crime Prevention Unit immediately mobilised. The sought vehicle was soon spotted and pulled over,” said Lokker.

The driver and vehicle were taken to the Amanzimtoti Police Station for further processing.
