Kuswag and Kingsway battle it out on the rugby field

Kuswag Skool and Kingsway High School's rugby teams recently clashed, making for a sporting spectacle.

FRIENDLY neighbours and impassioned sporting rivals, Kuswag Skool and Kingsway High School, pitted their rugby sides against one another on April 28.

Kuswag’s Ben Coetzee said that as always, the match did not disappoint, making for a spirited match full of great rugby and sportsmanship on and off the field.

“The boys played their hearts out. We thank Kingsway for always putting our young rugby athletes under pressure,” said Coetzee.

While Kuswag’s U15 side won 38-15, its first team fell short at 22-39 versus Kingsway High’s first team.

Its U15 rugby team took on Pongola Akademie’s house of pain tour from April 30-May 3, winning both games, with six players, Caiden Jooste, Skyler Snyman, Stefan van Dyk, Jayden Swanepoel, Liam Scott, André Warden, making it onto the Pongola dream team.
