Talent search boosted by prize purse
Calling all singers - here is your chance to record with the man who discovered Toya Delazy.

Lightness Productions and Khanya Hospice are taking the Khanya Has Talent search to the next level. The talent search forms part of Khanya Hospice’s three-day fundraiser fair at the DSB grounds in Craigieburn on 6, 7 and 8 December.
The winner will receive:
• A mentor to assist the winner to write a professional song;
• A professional recording of one song at the Kosmikfead Studio with one of the best producers in Durban, Markus Els. Markus discovered the popular singer, Toya Delazy;
• Marketing by performing in shows put together by Lightness Productions.
“The winner will also be involved in some Khanya Hospice shows,” said CEO, Neil McDonald.
The prizes are designed to help the winner grow in the music industry and have the potential to open doors in the music business.”
The search will be judged by professional musicians who have been in the industry for years. “This is a great advantage as these people know potential when they see it. Furthermore, and most importantly, it will enable the judging to be fair.
We call all singers to come showcase their talent at the Khanya talent search. This is your time to shine.
Registration takes place at the DSB grounds on Friday, 6 December at 1.30pm.
