Fun fishing competition held in Illovo River

Entrants walked away with prizes that ranged from gym membership to fishing gear.

THE Boys 2 Men Freshwater Angling Addicts Club held its first annual fishing competition on Sunday, May 29, at Illovo River near the Lower Illovo Bridge.

The competition started a 06:00 and ended at 16:00, and it was open to both adults and children.
Sam Pillay of Umkomaas won the first prize which consisted of R500 cash, a rod bag and two gym memberships. In the second place was Sameera Govender, also from Umkomaas, who won R200 cash, plus a gym membership.
