City celebrates VOLVO SA milestone in Amanzimtoti

The company's vice president, Per-Erik Lindström, said the 20th anniversary reaffirmed the company’s long-term commitment to Durban.

VOLVO Trucks South Africa celebrated its 20th anniversary at its production plant in Amanzimtoti on August 19.

The company is situated at Southgate Industrial Park in Umbogintwini, which is the production facility for the region. Established in 2006 with an initial production capacity of four trucks per day, the company has grown significantly and now produces 12 trucks per day, strengthening the local economy.

The company’s vice president, Per-Erik Lindström, said the 20th anniversary reaffirmed the company’s long-term commitment to Durban.

eThekwini Mayor Cyril Xaba congratulated the company on reaching this significant milestone, highlighting its two decades of investment in eThekwini and affirming the city’s potential as a leading investment destination.
