Dental Care for Jiswa School
Four hundred excited faces on the day really enjoyed the launch.
JOBURG SOUTH – The ‘Waja ka Meno’ Trust Fund was launched at the Jiswa School in Lenasia on Thursday August 29.
The trust fund was launched during a fun-filled day of plays, magic and music, presented by Dr Shouket Waja from Southgate Dental Centre, his staff and family and the learners and staff of Jiswa.
“We have been staging an event like this in collaboration with Jiswa for the last 18 years. This year saw the culmination of our goal to set up a trust fund, with the assistance of other role players, to enable us to give dental care to the disadvantaged children at Jiswa. It is a privilege to provide this service in partnership and association with Dental Clinics,” said Dr Waja.
The children gaped in awe at the vampires and werewolves in the play, ‘Twilight Saga – The poisoned Tooth’, but it was the song and dance items that had them stomping their feet in delight, not to mention the free toothbrushes and toothpaste that put a smile on more than 400 excited faces.
