Rhema Church joins JAM Christmas Campaign
Tis the season for giving and JAM SA charity organisation needs your help to feed underprivileged children.
RISPARK – December 1 marked yet another fruitful collaboration between two non-profit organisations in the south.
Joint Aid Management South Africa (JAM SA) a Christian humanitarian relief and development organisation has partnered with Rhema South Family Church in Rispark to help feed one or more underprivileged children this Christmas.
Founders of JAM SA, Pastor Peter Desmond Pretorius and his wife Ann Pretorius visited the Rhema South church on December 1, to request the congregation to assist in the success of the worthy cause that sees many children fed daily.
The aim is alleviating poverty through sustainable developments and the project is called the Red Bowl Project.
Communities are invited to contribute R360 which will feed one child for a year or R30 which will feed one child for a month.
A number of church members gathered at the JAM SA tables to do their bit to help a needy child and were rewarded with a JAM SA calendar to remind them of their worthy contribution.
“You can’t change the world but you can change the world for one child this Christmas,” encouraged Managing Director of JAM SA, Ann Pretorius and her Co-Founder Pastor husband, Peter Desmond Pretorius.

*Assist communities with life-saving water and sanitation (WAT/SAN) through borehole drilling and rehabilitation, latrine construction and sanitation education.
*Equip communities with adequate nutrition and sustainable avenues for food security, through agriculture development activities with smallholder and local commercial farmers.
*Educate children, parents, teachers and community members on the effects of HIV/AIDS, prevention methods and care.
*Assist Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC) with nutrition and education.
*Strengthen and increase the capacity of local communities through national human capital development, local food production factories and strong infrastructure development.
*Improve the capacity of African Governments to initiate and operate national assistance programming through capacity building, training and macro policy development.
*Stimulate economic development through agri-business and other sectors to effect true development and sustainability within communities served.
