Take 67 minutes to do yourself – and choc – a favour!
If you’re unable to donate anything right now, spend your 67 Mandela minutes browsing through the CHOC Charity Shop, 219 Louis Botha Avenue (corner 11th Street), Orange Grove, Johannesburg.

JOHANNESBURG – This Mandela month, spend those precious 67 minutes of your time improving the quality of your life – and help the CHOC Childhood Cancer Foundation.
As a great interior designer once said “Every time you remove something from your surroundings, you add class and style!” ‘De-clutter’ is the name of the game. Too many books weighing down your book shelf? An ornament you’re not really mad about? Clothing you haven’t worn in years? Kitchen items you never use? Games and toys no-one plays with anymore?
“De-clutter and donate.” Now isn’t that a terrific mantra? And if you’re fresh out of unwanted things, there’s always a lot of magic in a little money, which CHOC will also gratefully accept.
Knowing how Madiba felt about kids, donating whatever you can to CHOC – in kind or cash – will also continue his legacy of love. CHOC is dedicated to helping children with cancer and other life-threatening diseases, providing practical, moral and mental support, right from diagnosis.
If you’re unable to donate anything right now, spend your 67 Mandela minutes browsing through the CHOC Charity Shop, 219 Louis Botha Avenue (corner 11th Street), Orange Grove, Johannesburg. What someone else no longer needs may just be something you’ve been looking for!
You can go further by spending another 67 minutes creating a collection drive, encouraging everyone you know to clean out their closets. All donations – money and goods (which should obviously be in a reasonable condition) – can be dropped off at the Charity Shop, or at CHOC’s head office, 152 Bram Fischer Drive, Randburg. In the case of bulk items and group donations, CHOC can collect.
