Boy critical after taxi knocks him over in Mondeor

Mondeor High School pupil critical in hospital.

MONDEOR – A grade nine learner is critical at Mulbarton Hospital after he was knocked down by a taxi on Ormonde Drive in Mondeor.

JMPD has confiscated the taxi that knocked over the Mondeor High learner.

According to an eyewitness, the learner ran into the street while the taxi was passing. The driver was at a high speed and failed to stop on time.

Two Maponya Emergency Services ambulances were first on the scene and closely followed by Mondeor Sector 2 CPF.

Mondeor High School Principal was emotional and concerned about the learners well being. While several attempts by the school have some sort of traffic control implemented on Ormonde Drive have been unsuccessful, she has vowed to continue trying.
