Boy beheaded trying a stunt in a moving train

JOHANNESBURG – A 19-year-old matric learner died yesterday (Tuesday, July 21) while he was doing tricks on a train at Chiawelo Railway Station.

The boy was decapitated when his stunt, which involved jumping on and off the train, went horribly wrong and he fell onto the tracks, between the platform and the train.

Metrorail has been trying to eradicate this problem by putting up warning signs and educating people about the dangers of train surfing.

The boy was with a group of friends when the fatal accident happened. The school principal ensured everyone that the friends will receive the necessary trauma counselling.
