GLENVISATA – A family on Angelica Road was held hostage in their home for over three hours, this is according to a Facebook post by the Glenvista Community Policing Forum (CPF).
On the post, the CPF stated, “All members of the family including the mother, father, son and a visitor were tied up and beaten.”
The father and son especially were badly assaulted and treated by ER24 paramedics on the scene.
The Glenvista Victim Support Unit was also at the scene as detectives from Mondeor SAPS started arriving.
It is believed that a total of six suspects stole a firearm, televisions, cellphones, computers and other valuables and a car from the family a white Kia Sorento with mark VHG616GP.
The CPF’s post read, “The CPF immediately sent an alert out for this vehicle and a search of the area was undertaken by about 15 members with no success.”
