MEC Lesufi to announce Gauteng’s state of readiness for 2016 academic year

The department has worked tirelessly over the past months to ensure that each and every learner seeking admission is attended to for placement.

Gauteng Education MEC, Mr Panyaza Lesufi, will on Tuesday, 10 November 2015, brief members of the media on the province’s state of readiness for the 2016 academic year.

The department has worked tirelessly over the past months to ensure that each and every learner seeking admission is attended to for placement.Ensuring that teaching and learning begins in earnest on the first day of the academic year is the department’s first priority. Preparations for this include amongst others, opening of new schools including Schools for learners with special educational needs, ensuring that all schools have adequate educators and Learner Teacher Support Material (LTSM) and the roll out of ICT programme.
