There is no doubt that these up coming local elections will be hotly contested in Johannesburg with 65 registered parties and 32 independent candidates.
I would like, for the purpose of challenging other candidates to an open debate, to focus on Ward 56
The ward includes, among others, suburbs such as La Rochelle, Rosettenville, Linmeyer, Oakdene and The Hill. Since I have lived here, I have seen the suburbs deteriorate and the criminals proliferate. Why is this?
There could be a number of reasons for this and I for one would like to get to the bottom of this. For this reason I challenge all the candidates to a public debate in front of the community so that the community can judge for themselves what the philosophy is of each candidate, their commitment to same and their track record. It will also clearly declare their commitment to this community.
Here in Ward 56 we have an independent candidate, DA, EFF and ANC among others competing in this election. Let’s hear from the candidates whether they are able and prepared to face the community.
With the challenge on, candidates can contact me on 082 475 8471 and let me know whether they accept the challenge or not.
Phillip Venter, independent candidate, Ward 56
