The Pioneers do their part

Pioneer Academics learners embark on a winter drive for charity.

LEARNERS from Pioneer Academics Ormonde embarked on a winter drive to collect winter clothing and other valuable essentials, which were delivered to Amazing Grace orphanage in Kibler Park.

Learners, Taskeen Hoosen and Faatimah-Zahraa Mia, informed the COURIER that the appreciative smiles of children from Amazing Grace welcomed them into their home.

“We spoke to the children, sang and danced with them. They truly blew us out of the water with their spectacular whips, ne-nes and other dance moves. When they took us on a tour of the orphanage we spoke to the children and learnt about their stories. It was humbling and it reminded us that we should be grateful and appreciative for what we have in our lives,” they said.

Pioneers learners want to give a special thanks to everyone who supported their Pioneer Outreach Programme with donations. The learners thank and urge to community to continue supporting their future endeavours aimed at helping those in need.
