
A man is in a serious condition following an alleged attempted hijacking at a school in Mondeor, on August 25.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene and found the vehicle in the parking area and the man was lying on the ground.
According to ER24 spokesperson Chitra Bodasing, paramedics were informed that the man was waiting for his child when he was approached by some people who apparently tried to hijack the vehicle.
When the man tried to defend himself, he was beaten and items were taken from the vehicle by the attackers before they fled.
Upon assessment of the man it was found that he was in a serious condition.
He was treated and transported to hospital for further medical care, and authorities were on the scene to investigate.
