MOFFATVIEW SAPS arrested a total of 44 suspects for various crimes between Monday, August 22, and Monday, August 29.
These are the crimes and number of suspects: common assault – one, assault with grievous bodily harm – eight, common robbery – two, dealing in liquor without a licence – one, drunken driving – one, fraud – two, housebreaking and theft – one, illegal immigrant – five, intimidation – one, malicious damage to property – four, possession of stolen property – three, possession of dagga – seven, shoplifting – four, theft – three, and one suspect on warrant of arrest.
