Lusito fund-raiser held
This year was certainly more colourful than previous years, although no more enjoyable, as most of the ladies donned wigs and false eyelashes to get into the spirit of the theme, Wigs and Lashes.
THE annual Lusito ladies’ fund-raising brunch was held on Saturday, October 22, with all funds raised going to the Lusito Association for the Physically and Mentally Handicapped.
This year was certainly more colourful than previous years, although no less enjoyable, as most of the ladies donned wigs and false eyelashes to get into the spirit of the theme, Wigs and Lashes.
Emcee Llewllyn Cordier kept the morning flowing, with guest speakers, Kayleigh Bushney, who spoke about the challenges she’s overcome, and Sharon Gordon from Lola Montez chatting to the ladies. The morning wouldn’t have been complete without the Dreams from Burlesque Dinner Theatre in Bedfordview.
“Once again, thanks to all of you for attending this event. We hope you’ll enjoy the morning, having fun and raising money for our school,” said Naomi Contente, executive committee member, public relations.
