Montanus pampers senior citizens

SENIOR citizens in the South Hills area had a special treatment from the learners at Montanus Primary School, on Tuesday, September 27.
The learners washed and massaged the feet of the elders, who were then treated to a manicure, while being serenaded with music and poetry before they enjoyed a sumptuous lunch.
Dorothy Brown, a teacher at the school, said this is part of the community programmes on which the school has embarked in the area.
“We want to teach our learners that old people need to be taken care of; we need to show love and compassion to our senior citizens,” she explained.
“We would also like to thank all who made this day possible, including our sponsors: Random Act of Kindness, Piatto Restaurant (Alberton), NG Kerk Alberton-Suid and Chayil Foundation.
”These sponsors donated food, snacks and pampering equipment. Thank you.”
