Aus Lions Clubs donate to Crestview Primary

The money was used to purchase 103 books to encourage literacy among the pupils.

CRESTVIEW Primary School in South Hills received a generous donation of 500 Australian dollars -valued at R5 287.29 in South Africa – which was used to purchase more library books; from Bargain Books at The Glen.

The donation was a joint venture initiative from the Rotary Clubs of Hannans (a gold mining area) and Mandurah City (on the coast) in Western Australia. The amount was enough to purchase 103 books, which are mostly fiction – but that which the learners should enjoy to read.

The school is very grateful for the generous donation by both Rotary Clubs and takes great pride in announcing that the books have already been processed in Crestview’s library. The learners are already queuing to be the first to borrow each copy and enhance their literacy.
