Holiday safety tips
Remember to check all the safety tips and make sure you don't make it easy for criminals to break into your home while you are on holiday.

IN an effort to ensure the safety of the community in the Mondeor Policing Area, Mondeor SAPS is urging the community to be vigilant at all times, especially during the festive season.
Do not become a victim of crime: be crime conscious and aware of crime opportunities at all times.
1. Always be aware of your surroundings.
2. Never leave your outside lights on either during the day or night.
3. Arrange with someone who will clear your post box while you are away.
4. Stop the newspaper deliveries for the duration of your holiday.
5. Inform your neighbours’ of your absence during holidays as they can keep an eye on your property and report any suspicious acts.
6. Double check you have locked and secured all doors and windows.
7. Always be in contact with your security company.
8. Do not leave gardening tools outside, such as spades and stepladders, which can be used to break into your property.
