Join in the activities of the Ashrama

Apart from the Hatha yoga class, for which there is a minimal charge, the activities are free.

THE Sri Adi Shankara Ashrama, based in Winchester Hills, invites the public to participate in its religious, cultural, socio-humanitarian and spiritual activities. The centre is a branch of the internationally renowned Divine Life Society of India

This is the weekly programme at the Swami Sivananda Centre, 39 Frangipani Street, Winchester Hills:

Sunday, weekly Satsangas, 09:00 to 11:00.

Monday, healing prayers for the sick, ailing and distressed, 19:00 to 20:00.

Tuesday, the chanting of the Maha Mritunjaya Mantra 108 times, guided meditation and pranayama class (must be 16 or older), 19:00 to 19:30.

Wednesday, a verse by verse study of the Bhagavad Gita (must be 12 years or older), 19:00 to 20:00.

Thursday, Hatha yoga class (must be 12 years or older), 19:00 to 20:00.

Saturday, youth leadership, stress management, human values and education programme (12 to 18 years), 10:00 to 11:00, and socio-humanitarian outreach projects.

Apart from the Hatha yoga class, for which there is a minimal charge, the activities are free.

The yoga, guided meditation, spiritual healing, Bhagavad Gita Class and youth leadership course will commence in the first week of February.
