Pipe replacement project begins

Starting this February and expected to be completed mid-June.

DA ward 54 Clr Sergio dos Santos would like to inform residents of Winchester Hills about a pipe replacement project expected to take place from this February until around Thursday, June 22.

“Residents living in Winchester Hills will recall water pipe bursts experienced along Seder Street and Dungarvan Avenue. There have also been regular bursts along Maluti Street.

“This may cause some disruptions to water supply, digging of trenches and so forth, but in the long run this much needed project will improve water supply in the area as well as reduce the ongoing bursts in Winchester Hills. I ask residents to be patient during this period.

“There have been several bursts in the Mondeor area so I will engage with Joburg Water to have a similar pipe replacement project in the near future,” said Clr dos Santos.
