WATCH: Lucky escape for reaction officer

According to Glenvista Community Policing Forum, video footage shows the reaction officer vacating his vehicle as one of the robbers ran around the back of the vehicle towards him.

ON April 23, a Stallion reaction officer had a close call with house robbers in Ferox Drive, Glenvista.

At about 12.08pm an alarm was triggered at the Ferox Drive, Glenvista home and at 12.18pm the Stallion reaction officer arrived on scene, parking his vehicle outside the premises.

According to the Glenvista Community Policing Forum, video footage shows the reaction officer vacating his vehicle as one of the robbers ran around the back of the vehicle towards him. A fight ensued and the other robber came out of the driveway, driving a champagne coloured Toyota Run-X, which he drove into the reaction officer, who fortunately didn’t sustain any serious injuries. The suspects’ vehicle has a badly damaged right hand side and they managed to get away with one flat-screen television.

Community Policing Forum, Stallion Security, D&D and SOS Protecsure attended the scene to offer backup.
