SOUTHGATE Mall embarked on a Mother’s Day campaign which they invited learners from Mondeor Primary School to participate in.
Learners were requested to complete the task of writing letters to their mothers, and they have collected the Mother’s Day letters and poems from the Grade Six and Seven learners. These letters will be displayed until May 31 on the windows of a few of the vacant stores around the mall which are: the empty store opposite Sausage Saloon, the empty store next to Edgars and the empty store next to Checkers.
Thereafter, the sponsors, City Lodge and Road Lodge, will randomly select three lucky letters to win fantastic prizes.
Southgate Mall is also running a Facebook competition where they will post the letters – and the letter that gets the most ‘likes’ and ‘shares’ wins a prize. The first prize is an overnight stay including breakfast at the City Lodge in Newtown; the second prize is an overnight stay including breakfast at Road Lodge, Southgate; and the third prize is a Philips electronic 5L pressure cooker. The Facebook prize is an LG G3 Beat Smartphone.
