South resident to represent SA in Korea

A Liefde en Vrede resident is to represent SA at the third Youth Leadership Workshop on Global Citizenship Education (GCED) in Jeju, Republic of Korea from May 28 to June 3.

KARABO Mokgonyana is from Liefde en Vrede and is set to represent South Africa in Korea at the third Youth Leadership Workshop on Global Citizenship Education (GCED) in Jeju, Republic of Korea from May 28 to June 3.

The Liefde en Vrede resident hopes to touch people with his story.

“Precisely people from the South, often we are so clouded by our circumstances that we don’t go out there and explore our capabilities,” said Mokgonyana.

Organised by the UNESCO Asia-Pacific Centre of Education for International Understanding (APCEIU) in partnership with Jeju Forum for Peace and Prosperity and GCED Youth Network, the third Youth Leadership Workshop on GCED is designed to be a catalyst for action on global citizenship.
