Three suspects arrested for armed robbery

MOFFAT VIEW SAPS arrested three suspects for armed robbery in Rosettenville on June 21.

Constable Shadrack Mthalane met with the complainant at corner Haig and Bouquet streets, where the armed robbery took place. The complainant mentioned that he was approached by three unknown men who took his wallet, tekkies and cellphone at gunpoint.

Cst Mthalane started the investigation with Cst Tshepo Senoamdi by driving around with the complainant who saw a group of males in Kruger Street, Rosettenville. When they approached them one of the males started to run away. The two remaining males were arrested immediately and the third suspect was arrested the following day. The complainant recovered his cellphone and tekkies. The firearm which was used to rob the victim was also recovered.
