One suspect arrested for house breaking and theft
On July 13 at about 3.30pm, Cst Moshele Simon Koloane and Reservist Frank Sithole were on duty when they received a call from radio control about a house break-in. The members proceeded to the scene in Oakdene. On arrival at the scene people pointed them back in the opposite direction. The members then proceeded there. They found Cpf members and ADT security in Franshoek Street. The Cpf members informed them there was a break-in at Wemmer’s Hoek Avenue and the suspects were using a white Polo Hatchback in the driveway. The vehicle had two number plates with one placed on top of the other. The doors of the Polo were opened and there was a plasma TV on the back seat.
When the members entered the house they noticed the door had been forced open. The plasma stand was ripped from the wall and TVs had been taken from the bedrooms. The house had been ransacked. The handcuffed suspect was handed over to Cst Moshele Koloane and he was arrested and taken to Moffat View SAPS. The case has been assigned to officer Billy Letsoalo for further investigation.
