FOR the period of July 1 to 31, a total of 184 arrests were made by the Booysens SAPS.

These arrests include: armed robbery – one, assault common – 35, assault with grievous bodily harm (GBH) – eight, attempted theft – one, attempted murder – two, attempted rape – one, common robbery – eight, contravention of Liquor Act – one, dealing in drugs – five, discharge of firearm in public – one, driving under the influence of alcohol – 38, failure to register second hand dealers business – four, fraud – one, house break-in and theft – three, malicious damage to property – three, murder – one, pointing of firearm – one, possession of dagga – 16, possession of dangerous weapon – one, possession of drugs – 13, possession of house breaking implements – one, possession of stolen goods – four, possession of suspected stolen motor vehicle – two, possession of unlicensed firearm – three, possession of unlicensed firearm and ammunition – one, rape – one, reckless and negligent driving – four, selling medicine without a licence – one, shoplifting – seven, theft – eight, theft of motor vehicle – one, theft of truck – four, violation of protection order – one and warrant of arrest – two.
