Moffat View SAPS arrested 53 suspects for various crimes.

DURING the week of August 28 to September 4, Moffat View SAPS arrested 53 suspects for various crimes: assault common – four, assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm (GBH) – two, assault common under domestic violence – two, attempted car-jacking – one, attempted murder – one, driving under the influence of alcohol – nine, crimen injuria – one, contempt of court – one, common robbery – one, failing to stop at the accident scene – one, malicious damage to property – one, reckless and negligent driving – one, possession of suspected stolen property – nine, possession of stolen vehicle – five, possession of drugs – eight, possession of unlicensed fire-arm – two, shoplifting – four and theft – four.

Murderer sentenced to 15 years in prison

On June 14 last year a case of murder was opened at Moffat View SAPS. The accused, Kingsley Chinadon Ndubueze, was arrested the following day at King Shaka airport.

The accused shot Nwaegbe Chibozie 15 times at Amelia Street, South Hills. Chibozie died at the scene.

0n April 21, Kingsley Chinadon Ndubueze was convicted of murder by Johannesburg Magistrate Court and on August 29 he was sentenced to 15 years imprisonment and declared unfit to possess a firearm and live rounds of ammunition. The investigating officer was W/O Themba Mdlalose.
