Cupcakes of Hope visits Mall of the South
This is an annual event and all profits are donated to aid children with cancer.
PLENTY of cupcakes were on sale at Mall of the South in aid of children with cancer, on September 30.
Two cupcake-filled stalls decorated the mall – one was in front of Pick n Pay and the other stood in front of Woolworths. Hundreds of cupcakes, made with plenty of love, were sold to mall-goers for R10 per cupcake. This is an annual event and all profits are donated to aid children with cancer.
The stalls were big, beautiful and colourful in just about any theme you could imagine – flowers, cartoon characters and animals were only a few of many themes to which the cupcakes were decorated. Not only did they look good, they tasted even better. It must be the teaspoon of love in their recipe that made these cupcakes so delicious!
In 2011, Cupcakes 4 Kids with Cancer set a new world record for the most cupcakes on display – 21 000! Then on September 26, 2015, Cupcakes Of Hope held the fourth National Cupcake Day 4 Kids with Cancer at 70 malls across South Africa, raising a whopping R1.5-million for children fighting cancer – the most they have raised up to then! Hopefully, this amount has increased this year and will continue to rise annually.
