WARD 57 community is invited to a focus group discussion that is geared towards the development of a Ward Based Plan on October 17 at South Rand Recreation Centre from 6pm to 9pm.
The Ward Based Plan is intended to tackle some of the critical challenges related to the management of the urban environment, by-law enforcement, public safety and security in a sustainable manner. The plan will constitute the platform for all agencies involved in urban management, law enforcement and crime prevention to work together in a focused and co-ordinated way.
It aims to formalise the relationship between these agencies by identifying common objectives and priorities, and by entrenching the concept of multi-agency planning and implementation.
