THE unskilled youth of the South are invited to apply for the skills development opportunity offered by the Believers Care Society Youth Development Centre in Turffontein.
The society, through its training academy wants to equip unemployed and unskilled youth with life-skills and information so they can find employment.
Training courses currently available include: End-user computing, project management level 4, contact centre support which is a call-centre course, and office skills. The above courses are for three months and all services take place at the community development centre in Turfontein.
The youth are encouraged to apply now. To qualify, those interested must be between 17 and 35 years of age and be residents of Johannesburg South with a matric or equivalent.
Grade 10s are taken on for other skills programmes and must be willing to study and complete all training. No fees are required and only unemployed and unskilled youth are accepted.
Your application must include a copy of your ID, proof of residence, previous qualifications and a short CV. Classes are offered Monday to Friday for five hours per day.

Other opportunities available include assistance with the development of business plans, guidance to register companies, job placement assistance, free internet browsing for three hours per day, placements into learnership openings and work readiness preparation.
