We asked local residents how they felt about our new president, Cyril Ramaphosa, and here are some responses.

JOHAN DU PLESSIS: “I feel better about Cyril than our last president. I think our exchange rates are going to get better and he has actual qualifications behind him. I’m excited to see the change.”

We asked local residents how they felt about our new president, Cyril Ramaphosa, and here are some responses.

CHRISTOPHER MLAMBO: “I’m not political because the government promises us lies, there’s too much corruption and they are failing us. But we will give Cyril a chance because he can change society.”
LIZELLE VAN DER WALT: “I hope he’s better than Zuma. I can see that he actually knows what he’s doing, more so than Zuma.”
LORRAINE SOBHUZA: “I am happy for Cyril and I think he’s going to bring more opportunities. I simply love him and am happy for him.”
STACEY SMART: “I think Cyril can make a difference. He has the knowledge and brains to do it. He also has a strong team behind him.”
