Churches to celebrate ground-breaking event at Rotunda Park on May 20

The procession into the park will start at 8.30am and the service will commence at 9am.

THE Anglican, Congregational, Methodist and Presbyterian churches will be celebrating Pentecost Sunday together with a special service to be held at Rotunda Park on May 20.

Reverend Jennifer Fernandis said, “In Acts 2: 1-21 the Bible tells us that people from all over the known world were in Jerusalem to celebrate the “Feast of Weeks”. These people were the first to hear the message of redemption in their own language through the power of the Holy Spirit. Pentecost Sunday is a celebration of this important event in Christian history.”

The Ministers’ Fraternal of the four churches involved hope that the message of unity will bind people in purpose to bring change in the Turffontein area.

Everybody is invited to celebrate this ground-breaking event. The procession into the park will start at 8.30am and the service will commence at 9am.

For more information contact Reverend Fernandis on 082 256 3956.
