Moffat View SAPS new station commander conveys hope

RECENTLY Clr Faeeza Chame, councillor for Ward 57, and Manny de Freitas MP visited the Moffat View Police Station.
They met with the station commander, Colonel Lesley Lloyd. In preparation for this visit, de Freitas had researched Lloyd. His history and record indicated that he has made a success of whatever he has undertaken within the SAPS, without even a hint of a mal- or corrupt- administration under his watch.
“Our visit and discussion with the colonel matched my research. He expressed commitment to root out any corruption within the police station and to work closely and in tandem with the community. The colonel has inspired in me a sign of hope which I hope to see become reality. I share the colonel’s vision of making the Moffat View station better, which in turn will make the community better.
“Time will tell if this vision and the good words turn into reality. Let’s together support Lloyd. In so doing, we will all benefit as a community,” explained de Freitas.
