HelpASister Foundation to help girls with pads

Helping girls around the South to get pads

MBALI Nqubuka (35), Adelia Nqubuka (27) and Anora Nqubuka (24), are founding members of HelpASister Foundation which came into existence in 2017. Its aim is to provide pads to school girls in and around the South.

The foundation donates pads to primary and secondary schools. Thus far, the schools that have been assisted are located in Orange Farm. But they are eager to help out in other areas including Turffontein, Jackson, Walkerville, Rosettenville and other areas in the South.

They use their own money to buy pads with the help of Philisiwe Tau, a donor to the foundation, who has given the foundation dignity pads once a month. The drive for the provision of pads follows one of the teacher’s intimations to Mbali that there are a number of learners who do not turn up to school because they do not have pads.

“The foundation would like to donate pads monthly to different schools and home centres. But without funds, this will be impossible to achieve. Our girls need pads, and if we can help get pads it would be much better,” said Mbali.

The foundation appeals to members of the public to help with donations so that the great work can continue. For more information on the foundation please contact Mbali Nqubuka on 060 360 9238.
