Robertsham Methodist youth on fire

Congregants came in numbers to support young people on their debut on the altar.

ROBERTSHAM Methodist Church hosted a youth service on September 23.

Reverend Mbambo, who normally anchors the Word of God in Sunday sermons took a sabbatical on Sunday giving the young people a chance to share their experiences in their walk with God. Congregants came in numbers to support young people on their debut on the altar.

Kholu Mopeli, a church member, was appointed as the main speaker on the day. Her speech inspired young and old. In her speech about Youth Negligence, she emphasised that most young people don’t relate with their parents and that leaves young people vulnerable with no one to confide in when faced with trials and tribulations.

Mama Mopeli, one of the leaders in the church, said: “Seeing the youth committed to God’s work is pleasing in this day and age because most of today’s youth believe fun is found in worldly activities, but seeing these youth delivering powerful messages makes me proud and gives me hope.”
