Residents concerned about the status of Lee Dalmas Court
They claim they have been complaining to Ward 57 councillor Faeeza Chame about the struggles they have to endure.
RESIDENTS of 91 Lee Dalmas Court in South Hills are at their wits’ end because of leaking taps and basins.
They claim they have been complaining to Ward 57 councillor Faeeza Chame about the struggles they have to endure. Residents also say they have tried to fix the problems themselves, but to no avail.
One of the residents, Pedro Wzueuel, said he has a big family, but their living conditions are not what one would want for your family.
Wzueuel showed the COURIER his bathroom which has a loose toilet seat and water-damaged walls.
“We as residents need our units to be fixed. This is unbearable. In one of the bedrooms, the ceiling is also ruined. This isn’t the way people should be living. We need our ward councillor to please give advice on how to deal with this issue,” said Wzueuel.
Another resident said her electrical wires have been damaged because of water leaking onto the wires.
All the residents are in agreement that they want the councillor’s intervention and the housing department’s assistance.
The COURIER contacted Chame and housing regarding the matter, but no official responses were received.
