JSPCA eagerly needs members of the public assistance with donations

JSPCA has between 200 to 250 animals in their kennels, and they are always in need of blankets and bedding to make sure animals are well taken care of. Any used or new blankets will be accepted.

THE Johannesburg Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (JSPCA) appeals to the members of the public for blankets and any other donations.

JSPCA has between 200 to 250 animals in their kennels, and they are always in need of blankets and bedding to make sure animals are well taken care of. Any used or new blankets will be accepted. No donation will be rejected.

Public relations officer of the SPCA Liana Marx said the plastic kidney-shaped dog beds provided more shelter from the cold weather and were more hygienic and easier to clean. They also last much longer as the wear and tear the dogs put on them is sometimes extreme.

“We will gladly collect the items if needed, or if anyone wants to drop the items off, they are welcome to do so at the JSPCA premises.

“Any monetary donations made towards this appeal will be used to purchase these items for our animals. Keep an eye on our Facebook page as we will put updates on a regular base,” said Marx.

If anyone would like to donate they can contact Liana Marx on email at pr@jhbspca.co.za
